Happy Canada Day! We enjoyed some incredible celebrations yesterday at Town Centre Park, Castle Park, and Rocky Point Park! In case you could not make it to 20 incredible minutes of fireworks accompanied by a very tasteful soundtrack, here’s a 90 second snippet I was able to grab. The magnificence of fireworks exploding almost directly overhead is not something that can be captured on film.
Here are a few things to do this weekend to celebrate our beautiful country! Visit the Coquitlam Farmer's Market! There will be lots of fresh vegetables and fruit, amazing prepared foods, baked goods and food trucks! Come hungry and check out Cheese Street Grill, Truly Authentic Taste of Malaysia and Rocky Point Ice Cream! We’re excited to be welcoming The Land of Deborah to market as our musician this week. Deborah is an award-winning musician whose “feel good folk-pop” style is a crowd favourite. Celebrate Canada this weekend at our kids’ craft table! Join us to make a patriotic wind sock full of red, white, and maple leafs! Check out our list of vendors attending the market this Sunday here! Visit Golden Spike Days! Welcome to summer! Sure, it’s been around for a week or so, but it doesn’t really feel official until the July sun, Golden Spike Days and festive fireworks come to town. Different festivities for each day - check it out in person! Or visit their Facebook Page for some fun snippets.
